Ashley National Forest

Flaming Gorge Ranger District

Whether you're boating, fishing, swimming, camping or just passing through, there is one thing for certain, the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area is majestic.  Glassy mornings on the lake, white water rapids, and scenic canyon views are the backdrop to your camping adventure. The 91-mile long reservoir, created by the Flaming Gorge Dam has over 300 miles of shoreline, boat ramps, full service lodges and marinas.  Anglers from all over have inspiring tales of fishing the "The Gorge".  Two Scenic Byways and two Scenic Backways lead you from spectacular view to spectacular view.  We operate eleven facilities in the area.
