Bear Canyon Campground sits on the edge of the Mt Nebo Wilderness near Nephi, UT. This quiet canyon offers fishing for rainbow in Salt Creek; running along the edge of the campground. The Bear Canyon Trail begins at the campground entrance and is popular for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
The campground has 6 family sites and 3 group sites. 2 group sites hold up to 75 people and 1 holds up to 50 people. Bring your own drinking water or obtain it at the nearby Ponderosa Campground. Bear Canyon Campground has flush toilets near Group A and vault toilets are also provided. The campground is generally open between mid-May and Labor Day. Reserve your group site up to 1 year in advance from Recreation.gov.
This campground sits in a large grassy meadow and is lined by aspen and fir trees. Beautiful views of the surrounding Wasatch Range are seen from each campsite. The elevation at Bear Canyon Campground is about 6,800 feet and has limited shade.
