Flaming Gorge  boasts some of the worlds best fishing with record size trout being pulled from its’ depths.  Recreation on the lake includes fishing, water skiing, water vehicle use and Boat-in Campgrounds on the reservoir.  Visit the visitor center at the Flaming Gorge Dam to learn about the construction of the dam and the environment surrounding Flaming Gorge.  Just below the dam is the put-in location for some incredible white-water rafting.  Guided float trips or personnel float trips will provide a variety of calm water and wild rapids.  It’s important to remember that the Green River, which feeds into and flows out of Flaming Gorge Reservoir, is considered by many to be the best trout fishing in the United States with estimates at about 1000 fish per river mile.  The mountains above Mustang Ridge are home to many hiking and mountain biking trails.
