Doesn't the name make you want to bring your talented group to the woods? Theater-in-the-Pines is a large group area for up to 150 people. This campground is generally open from late May through mid-October. Reservations may be made up to a year in advance. In addition to the beautiful historic stone amphitheater, Theater-in-the-Pines Campground has picnic tables, a group fire ring, drinking water, vault toilets, large grassy field, and large gravel parking area for up to 150 people.
Campers enjoy hiking the adjacent Mount Timpanogos Wilderness and the nearby Aspen Grove Trail leads to the summit of Mount Timpanogos. Aspen Grove may be used by walkers, mountain bikes and dogs. It is currently closed to horse travel. Follow the link for directions and sights along the trail: Aspen Grove Trail. Those who prefer a shorter hike or horseback ride enjoy the 2-mile Stewart Falls Trail; beginning just above the amphitheater. You will never tire of wildlife, summer wildflowers and spectacular vistas in this stunning location.
