Bridger Lake, near Mtn View, WY - Virtual Tour

Bridger Lake Campground

Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest / Mountain View-Evanston Ranger District

This campground is nestled on the north slope of the Uinta Mountains on Bridger Lake at 9400' elevation.  The area used to be thick with Lodgepole pine, most of which were recently removed due to damage from the pine beetle.  Use caution when hiking and camping in the back-country to stay clear of standing dead trees.

Campers enjoy fishing and canoeing on Bridger Lake.  A small boat ramp is on-site.  Rainbow and cutthroat trout are plentiful.  Several ATV, hiking, biking and horseback riding trails crisscross the area.  The nearby China Meadows Trailhead gives access to the High Uintas.

Bridger Lake Campground has 30 campsites.  About two-thirds of the campsites may be reserved for you up to six months prior to your arrival.  Follow the link for directions, current forest alerts, rates and availability:   Recreation.gov \ Bridger Lake
