Big Hank Campground

The campground sits on Big Hank Meadow along the north fork of the Coeur d'Alene River east of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  From Kingston on I-90, take Exit 43 to FH-9 and drive 20 miles north to Prichard, then turn left and continue 17 miles north on FH Road 208 to Big Hank Campground.

Over half of the 30 campsites in Big Hank are first-come-first-served.  Reservations are welcomed in the remaining campsites.  The campground is set in a heavily wooded area at 2,800 feet elevation.  Amenities include drinking water from hand pumps, vault toilets, picnic tables and fire rings.  Roads and parking spurs are paved.

Popular activities are fishing for cutthroat trout, tubing the river, whitewater rafting and viewing wildlife such as mule deer, moose, osprey and calliope hummingbirds.

Hiking, biking and horseback riding trails are a short drive away.   There is a small parking area at the popular Shadow Falls trail head.
