River Otter vs Mudcat

Wildlife Viewing on the Central Oregon Coast

Some wildlife don't mind the noise of a busy campground but many of them steer clear; at least during the day.  So when the campground isn't bubbling over with happy campers much of the wildlife begins to wander back.

We enjoy quietly watching the wonders of nature.  Below is a YouTube video of a River Otter on the Alsea River near Blackberry Campground on the central Oregon Coast.  Mudcat is a nickname for sculpin.   The otter is determined to catch that fish.  Judging from the otter's moves, the sculpin has been chased before.  After starting the video you may want to click on YouTube, on the bottom-right, for better viewing.
