Arapaho Bay Campgrounds

Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest \ Sulphur Ranger District

Lake Granby is southeast of Grand Lake in north central Colorado.  Boating, sailing, swimming, fishing and hiking are activities that draw visitors to this 8300' elevation campground.  Anglers fish for kokanee salmon as well as rainbow, brown, mackinaw and cutthroat trout.

Several hiking and horseback riding trails are located nearby, including the Roaring Fork Trail #3 and Monarch Lake Trail, which both provide access to the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area.  The East Shore Trail, which is part of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, provides access to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Arapaho Bay Campground is made up of 3 loops: Roaring Fork, Morraine and Big Rock.  Each has toilet facilities, drinking water and bear-proof garbage containers.  There are 84 campsites in all, each having a picnic table, fire ring and tent pad.  The boat ramp is in Roaring Fork.
