Holly Bay Campground is perfect for campers who enjoy power boating and water skiing as well as the calmer water sports of canoeing and fishing. This area is also popular for hiking and mountain biking.
The Appalachian foothills create a spectacular backdrop for Laurel River Lake. 192 miles of cliff-lined shores contain this deep, clear, 5600 acre lake.
The campground is open from mid-April to mid-October. Of the 94 campsites most are first-come-first-served. 29 sites are reservable up to 6 months in advance of your arrival date.
Tent camping is available and there are electric sites for RVs. Drinking water, flush toilets, showers, a boat launch and a fish cleaning station are available in the campground.
The campground is closed during the winter months but the marina and a couple trails are open year-round. 5 trails, for hiking and mountain biking, are accessed from the campground and marina. 4 trails are between 1/2 to 1 mile long. Sheltowee Trace, Section 26, is the longest at 12 miles. The Cumberland Falls Trail is a 30-45 minute drive from the campground.
