Campsites are shaded by a mix of hemlock and birch trees. A short interpretive hiking trail takes you over foot bridges from the campground through the forest. Nearby wetlands and fields provide great opportunities for viewing wildlife. Trout fishing is very popular on this shallow stretch of the Little Manistee River although canoeing is not recommended.
Enjoy our brief virtual tour of Old Grade Campground before you explore the rest of the area: Baldwin-White Cloud Ranger District
Although too cold for swimming this cold water lake is popular for canoeing, kayaking and trout fishing.
