Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest \ Kamas Ranger District

On the shores of Lost Lake, at an elevation of 9,900 feet, this campground is set in the dense forest of the Uinta Mountains just 27 miles east of Kamas, UT.  Lost Creek Campground is generally open from the end of June through Labor Day.  Vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection are provided. Firewood is available for purchase from the host.  Some of the 35 sites are first-come-first-served and others may be reserved through Recreation.gov.

Lost Lake offers fishing for rainbow trout as well as canoeing and kayaking in a beautiful setting.  Motorized watercraft are not allowed.  Mirror Lake Campground is just up the road and offers weekend amphitheater programs, as well as more great canoeing and fishing opportunities.

Many hiking, biking, horse and off-road vehicle trails crisscross this beautiful region, including the Crystal Lake and Bald Mountain Trails, both of which begin nearby.
