Firehole Canyon Campground is located just 29 miles from Rock Springs, Wyoming on the far northeastern shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir.  The campground is in a high desert terrain among Russian olive trees and scrub brush at an elevation of 6,300 feet.  The unique geologic features provide a stunning backdrop to your camping experience.

This campground is generally open from mid-May through mid-September.  About half the sites may be reserved at least 4 days prior to your arrival for the peak season.  Other campsites are for first-come-first-served campers.  Each campsite has a picnic table, cabana and campfire ring.  Flush toilets, showers, drinking water and trash collection are provided.  Roads and parking spurs are paved.  A dump station is located on-site.  A boat ramp and beach area are adjacent to the campground and available to the campers.  Follow the link to check rates, availability and current forest alerts:  Recreation.gov \ Firehole Canyon Campground
