Hoover Campground is a perfect location to enjoy sailing, boating, water skiing and fishing on Detroit Lake. Catfish, rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon are among the most common species found in the lake. A convenient boat ramp lies adjacent to the campground.
Campers enjoy hiking the Stahlman Point Trail, which offers beautiful vistas of Detroit Lake and the surrounding area. The Hoover Nature Trail is an accessible, short footpath that is part of the campground.
Hoover Campground is generally open from early May through mid-September and has 37 campsites including 9 double sites. The group campsite can accommodate up to 70 people. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets, drinking water, trash collection and a boat ramp are provided.
